Welcome to the site of Michael Hebert, composer. This site is dedicated primarily to my work for film, television and new media.

Recent stuff:

I'm hard at work finishing the score for the very funny comedy feature Last Call, which stars Christopher Lloyd (Taxi, Back to the Future, Modern Family), Ryan Hansen and Travis Van Winkle, and features Tom Arnold, Tara Reid, Clint Howard and David Deluise.

Bloody Thursday won the 2010 LA EMMY AWARD in the Arts, Culture & History Category! A powerful documentary about the famous 1934 West Coast Longshormen's strike, directed by Jared Cotton and Christopher Burke, produced by Jack Baric in association with LA's PBS affiliate, KOCE

Here's a video of a wonderful warmup performance (by a pianist to be named later - not me) at the recent recording session of my new Piano Sonata No. 1.

The feature film Metropole , for which I wrote the original score, screened at the prestigious London International Documentary Festival and Italy's Salento International Film Festival.  Described by reviewers as "a virtuosic visual essay" with "an original, poetic score", Metropole uses no dialogue - only images, sounds and music.

I signed deals with and to use over 45 minutes of my music for a bunch of shows in the upcoming season.

I just signed on to write the score for an exciting project, The Wedding, directed by Anup Sugunan.  Based on Don Swaby's play, it's a gritty, contempory story of misguided love, lives gone wrong and the struggle for redemption.

Manic Muzic Volume I released by Manic Records in December '07, included two of my tracks.

Body Shots, which is an instrumental retroloungefunkfusion track from my upcoming CD, has been getting airplay on LA's powerhouse station, KCRW
